Patriots roster moves this week

Watching the Patriots roster moves over the last week.  There have been a lot of players subject to multiple moves, such as being released and then brought back, or signed for a few days and then released.  It is clear the last few roster spots are intentionally kept open this week to allow flexibility to bring players in for tryouts or to claim them before another team does.  The table below can help visualize this process.  Players subject to more than one roster move are highlighted in red.

    Thanks for taking the time to do the chart and posting it. It makes some of BB's method to his madness more clear.

    These BB remarks from Monday's conference call with the press may be of interest.

    On roster movements: "You saw that there was a lot of roster movement last week. I think that that will probably continue to some degree with our team and I’m sure with many other teams in the league over the first couple weeks of the regular season as things get settled on the practice squad, on just the way your team is made up and so forth. We’ll just have to see how all that goes."

    On Tebow: "He's not on our roster now so I don't think it's appropriate to talk about him."
